Georgia Highlands College (GHC) has partnered with West End Pharmacy<\/a> to provide community vaccine events throughout the summer.<\/p>\n

The events are open to anyone eligible for the vaccine<\/a> and the first one is scheduled for May 21, 2021 from 1PM to 3PM.<\/p>\n

Each event will be held in Student Center Building B<\/a> at GHC\u2019s Cartersville location<\/a> (5441 Highway 20, NE Cartersville, GA 30121).<\/p>\n

EVENT DETAILS:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

What will I need?\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The vaccination part of this event is\u00a0non-private, meaning there won\u2019t be any screens or areas to remove clothing for\u00a0your shot. In consideration of this,\u00a0you\u00a0should wear a sleeveless top or short-sleeved shirt that will allow\u00a0you\u00a0to easily expose\u00a0your arm and shoulder area.<\/p>\n

You MUST bring your vaccine card you received during your first dose of the vaccine, if this is your second dose.<\/p>\n

(And don\u2019t forget\u00a0your mask!)<\/p>\n

Where do I go?\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The vaccination event will take place in \u201cStudent Center Building B.\u201d<\/a> Park in Lot \u201cB\u201d<\/a> behind the student center. (Please\u00a0do not<\/u><\/em>\u00a0park in the \u201cLimited Parking (LP)\u201d area directly in front of the student center. This area is reserved for\u00a0pharmacy\u00a0personnel.)<\/p>\n

From the parking lot, follow directional signage to enter the student center at the back entrance (nearest \u201cD\u201d deliveries drive).<\/p>\n

Once\u00a0you\u00a0are inside the student center, make\u00a0your way to the check-in table<\/p>\n

After\u00a0you\u00a0check in to the event, follow directional signage to the student gym.<\/p>\n

Half of the student gym will be used for vaccinations, and the other half of the gym will have spaced seating for 15-minute post-vaccination observation.<\/p>\n

What can I expect?\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

All campus guidelines<\/a>\u00a0will be followed during this event.\u00a0You\u00a0will need to wear a face covering, and if lines begin to form, please keep six feet between\u00a0yourself and others.<\/p>\n

Once you have checked in, you will proceed to the gym through the connecting hallway to receive your vaccination.<\/p>\n

After your vaccination is complete, you will move to the spaced seating area on the opposite side of the student gym to wait for 15 minutes. You will also have your vaccination card updated.<\/p>\n
