The Collegiate Advertising Awards (CAA) is an elite program recognizing higher education organizations for excellence in communications, marketing, advertising and promotions of their schools.<\/p>\n<p>The 2016 CAA program had more than 900 entries from the United States and Canada representing small community colleges to very large schools &amp; universities.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions were reviewed by a national panel of industry experts, with a possibility of 100 total points. Participant\u2019s entries competed against similar-sized organizations in their specific groups and categories.<\/p>\n<p>Awards were issued for entries that received top marks from judges placing them in the top 16% of the nation for advertising excellence. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.<\/p>\n<p>Representing all areas of communications, medias, marketing, advertising and promotions, the 2016 Collegiate Advertising Awards program contained some of the best advertising projects arguably in the world.<\/p>\n<p>GHC took home the Gold Award (the top 5 percent in the nation) for College Website Design, a combined effort between GHC\u2019s Advancement division and GHC\u2019s IT department, Folder Design, and Promotional items, which were foam cell phones to promote GHC\u2019s new website\u2019s mobile friendly features.<\/p>\n<p>GHC also took home the Silver Award (the top 12 percent in the nation) for Magazine Advertisement and Billboard Design.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, GHC saw success at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District Three Awards with a Special Merit for Photography Series for the GHC \u201cShare Your Story\u201d Diversity Series, which captures students, faculty, and staff from all backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Georgia Highlands College Advancement team consists of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Mary Transue \u2013 Vice President of Advancement<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Sheila Jones and Nick Godfrey \u2013 Marketing &amp; Communications<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Jeff Brown and Justin Sucre \u2013 Digital Media<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Ken Davis \u2013 Print &amp; Design Services<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Alison Lampkin \u2013 Alumni &amp; Special Events<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Cindy Gomez and Liz Jones \u2013 Executive Assistant &amp; Foundation Accountant<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Georgia Highlands College was named among the top in the nation in the 2016 Collegiate Advertising Awards program.
