{"id":6620,"date":"2017-10-12T13:09:29","date_gmt":"2017-10-12T17:09:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.highlands.edu\/?page_id=6620"},"modified":"2025-02-17T14:59:38","modified_gmt":"2025-02-17T19:59:38","slug":"transfer-applicants","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.highlands.edu\/how-do-i-apply\/transfer-applicants\/","title":{"rendered":"Transfer and Post-Baccalaureate Applicants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>Applicants who attended another institution post high school graduation and earned over 30 transferable credits and applicants who have earned a Bachelor\u2019s Degree. <\/i><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Steps to Enrollment:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Complete <a href=\"https:\/\/apply.highlands.edu\">online application<\/a> and pay $30 non-refundable processing fee.<\/li>\n<li>Submit ALL college transcripts:\n<ul>\n<li>College transcripts can be sent electronically through Parchment or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studentclearinghouse.org\/\">National Student Clearinghouse<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>We accept official transcripts mailed directly to GHC from your college(s):\n<ul>\n<li>Georgia Highlands College<br \/>\nOffice of Admissions<br \/>\n3175 Cedartown Hwy<br \/>\nRome, GA 30161<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>We <strong>DO NOT<\/strong> accept faxed transcripts.<\/li>\n<li>We <strong>DO NOT<\/strong> accept unofficial PDF copies.<\/li>\n<li>We <strong>DO NOT<\/strong> accept hand delivered transcripts that are not sealed \u2013 sealed transcripts may only be opened by a GHC employee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you are applying for in-state tuition, submit <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.highlands.edu\/admissions\/verifying-lawful-presence\/\">Verification of Lawful Presence<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div id=\"no-more-tables\">\n<h3>Other Information<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants who have been dismissed from their previous institution(s) are subject to the current GHC Academic Progress policy and are required to sit out the allotted time (policy listed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.highlands.edu\/academic-affairs\/college-catalog\/\">GHC Catalog<\/a>):\n<ul>\n<li>First dismissal &#8211; one semester<\/li>\n<li>Second dismissal &#8211; one year<\/li>\n<li>Third dismissal &#8211; three years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/georgiahighlands2.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/s\/AdvisingPathwayMaps\/Efd7GqV5OV5Pm2UBwH1g8twBPdKjDoEb5_NYgp5nCsGZ7w?e=OBN4Rd\"><b>Certificate of immunization<\/b><\/a> is not required for an admissions decision but must be received during a student\u2019s first semester at GHC.<\/li>\n<li><b>English Language Proficiency <\/b>is required for students who are non-native speakers of English or who transfer from an institution of higher education outside the U.S. where English was not the language of instruction are required to show English language proficiency.
