These are typically students that are 24 years or older and have either not attended another institution or who have attended another institution but have earned less than 30 transfer credits. <\/em><\/p>\n<div>\n<h2>Steps to Enrollment:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Complete <a href=\"https:\/\/apply.highlands.edu\">online application<\/a> and pay $30 non-refundable application processing fee.<\/li>\n<li>Submit an official high school transcript or a copy of your high school diploma:\n<ul>\n<li>A copy of your high school diploma can be submitted to any GHC campus location or emailed to <a href=\"mailto:admitme@highlands.edu\">admitme@highlands.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<li>High school transcripts must be official (official electronic transcripts or mailed directly from your high school\/county office).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Submit transcripts from any college(s) you have previously attended:\n<ul>\n<li>College transcripts can be sent electronically through Parchment or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studentclearinghouse.org\/\">National Student Clearinghouse<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>We accept official transcripts mailed directly to GHC from your college(s).<\/li>\n<li>We <strong>DO NOT<\/strong> accept faxed transcripts.<\/li>\n<li>We <strong>DO NOT<\/strong> accept emailed PDF transcripts.<\/li>\n<li>We <strong>DO NOT<\/strong> accept transcripts that were opened by anyone who does not work at GHC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you are applying for in-state tuition, submit <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.highlands.edu\/admissions\/verifying-lawful-presence\/\">Verification of Lawful Presence<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"no-more-tables\"><\/div>\n<div>\n<h3>Other Information<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>There are no GPA requirements for students who have graduated from high school more than 5 years ago or earned a GED.<\/li>\n<li>If you were previously enrolled in college, you must be eligible to return to your current institution (cannot currently be on academic suspension\/exclusion\/dismissal).<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/collegeboard.org\">SAT<\/a>\/<a href=\"http:\/\/act.org\">ACT<\/a>\/Accuplacer are not currently required, however, they can be used to exempt Learning Support classes.\n<ul>\n<li>SAT\/ACT scores must be within 7 years of the testing date, and scores must be sent electronically<\/li>\n<li>You may register for <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.highlands.edu\/testing\/accuplacer-placement-test\/\">Accuplacer with our testing department<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/georgiahighlands2.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/s\/AdvisingPathwayMaps\/Efd7GqV5OV5Pm2UBwH1g8twBPdKjDoEb5_NYgp5nCsGZ7w?e=OBN4Rd\"><b>Certificate of immunization<\/b><\/a> is not required for an admissions decision but must be received during a student\u2019s first semester at GHC.<\/li>\n<li><b>English Language Proficiency <\/b>is required for students who are non-native speakers of English or who transfer from an institution of higher education outside the U.S. where English was not the language of instruction are required to show English language proficiency.
