Who Are We?
The Grey Highlands Chamber of Commerce is an organization designed to promote and improve trade and commerce, and the economic, civic and social welfare of the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
We represent manufacturing, retailing, service, recreation, medical and profession groups. Our community is unique with a very distinct character. How many communities have open spaces, the variety of year round recreational activities, tourism attractions, and the local access to goods and services that we do?
Any reputable person, directly or indirectly engaged or interested in trade, commerce, or the economic and social welfare of The Municipality of Grey Highlands and the Community is eligible for membership. As a member of this organization you ensure the Grey Highlands Chamber of Commerce remains an active entity that keeps you informed about the business in our community.
We believe that small business defines the soul of a community, and as a representative of this small business community we welcome your expertise.
What We Do
- Maintain a Grey Highlands Web Site promoting business and tourism in the area and featuring an on-line business directory.
- Sponsor seminars on topics such as: business, finance, and technology.
- Contribute time, energy and money to community projects.
- Promote economic development and tourism.
- Contribute to downtown beautification projects in the area.
- Organize the annual Santa Claus Parade and annual Classic Cruise Night in Markdale.
The goal of the Grey Highlands Chamber is to have all local businesses and interested parties participate in the growth of our municipality and to remain prosperous.
The Grey Highlands Chamber of Commerce serves the Municipality of Grey Highlands, which includes the villages of Markdale and Flesherton, the former Townships of Euphrasia, Artemesia and Osprey.
The Grey Highlands Chamber of Commerce is the recognized voice of business, committed to the enhancement of economic prosperity in the Grey Highlands District.
