Many Chamber Members will be pleased to hear that the Ontario government and federal government have partnered to provide urgent relief to small businesses and their landlords through the newly created Ontario-Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance Program.

Details are few at this point. The federal government has indicated the overall program will be operational by mid-May, but the exact timing is still unclear, as are the details of the application process, how quickly businesses can get enrolled in the program, and other aspects of eligibility.

Both the Chamber and the municipality’s Economic Development team are watching closely for details and will share them when available.

We’re pleased to welcome these new Members to the Grey Highlands Chamber of Commerce.
