Board Meeting This Week
When the Chamber Board has its regular monthly meeting this Thursday, we will be discussing strategies to be of even greater service to our community and our membership in 2020. We know we must devise an extensive, actionable plan if we are to further our goal of expanding our membership base and achieving greater objectives.
At our annual meeting in October, Chamber president Stewart Halliday said the Chamber aims to be four things: resilient, resourceful, respectful, and reliable. And we want to do it while MAD – making a difference. We will be asking our Members for their feedback and insight as we develop our plan and action steps.
Joint Chamber Mixer
The West Grey Chamber of Commerce has invited Grey Highlands businesses to a mixer on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the RBC at 108 Garafraxa St. South in Durham. Doors open at 6pm. RSVP to email@example.com for an enjoyable and beneficial business social. As the winter weather descends on us, we can start off on the right foot by meeting like-minded individuals who represent both comrades in arms and possible sources of supply or demand.
Are you, your business, your restaurant, or your storefront holding any special events? Sales? Open houses? Special hours? Let the Chamber know and we can help get the word out.
Rumour Has It
I don’t know who told me, but I’ve heard that shopping locally gets you on Santa’s Nice List. It’ll also help sustain your community. How’s that for a win-win?
